This beautiful recently restored old house set in several acres, lies in a small quiet hamlet with only 5 other houses nearby.
The main house has:- three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 ensuite, kitchen with breakfast area, dining area with seating and wood burner, large lounge with main dining area, seating with views through picture window, leading onto sun terrace with table for 10.
In addition there is an annex (Grangette) which has two bedrooms with 1 double downstairs and and 2 single beds upstairs, and a bathroom, comprising a shower, hand basin and WC.
Outside there is a fully enclosed 10x5m pool with sun loungers and WC. In the basement is a games room with pool table, table tennis and darts and a utility room with washing machine.
The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge freezer, micro wave, electric hob, oven and dishwasher. All rooms are equipped with floor standing fans and a TV, DVD and CD player are provided.
The property is 15kms from the old town of Cahors, situated along the banks of the River Lot. This town has many historic buildings, shops, restaurants and cafes. River excursions depart from the Town.
The nearest village is 2km away with a small shop and bistrot, and another more substantial village can be found a further 5km away. This village boasts a boating lake with canoeing, kayaking and other leisure activities.
Further North there are numerous activity centres catering for a range of different activities such as rope climbing centres and river activities.

Accommodation details

Rural detached farmhouse, self-catering and/or catered, 200 m², family friendly, peaceful location, towels provided, linen provided. The kitchen has a 4 ring stove, kitchenette, hob, washing machine, fridge, freezer, oven, dish washer, grill and microwave. In the living room there is a lovely fireplace and seating for up to 8 people, there is a dining area with seating for up to 10 people. There are 5 bathrooms, Master ensuite - Toilet,Shower Enclosure, Main Bathroom - Toilet,Shower Enclosure, Bedroom 2 - Toilet,Shower Enclosure, Grangette - Toilet,Shower Enclosure and Outdoor - Toilet. There are 5 bedrooms that sleep a maximum of 8 people, Master - 1 Large Double Bed, Bedroom 2 - 1 Double Bed, Bedroom 3 - 1 Double Bed, Grangette 1 - 1 Double Bed, Grangette 2 - 2 Child Bed, 4 doubles and 2 single beds in upstairs of Grangette. An additional single bed is available. For entertainment there is a cd, DVD and tv. Outside there is parking, terrace, barbecue, balcony, garden, 10 garden chairs and 8 beach chairs and an outdoor pool.

Rental prices

Low season 01 Apr 2008 - 31 May 2008 £1,000.00 per week
High season 01 Jun 2008 - 30 Sep 2008 £1,300.00 per week
Minimum stay - 1 week, changeover day is Saturday. Available April to September.
A 25% breakage deposit is required on booking and the balance 8 weeks prior to let.
All prices are fully inclusive of linen, towels, and electricity. Towels provided are indoor bathroom towels and not poolside.


Travel

Airports: Toulouse, Rodez, Limoges and Bergerac are all within 2 hours. Brive, which is due to open in 2010 is only 50 minutes away.
Nearest motorway: A20 junct 57 at 15 kilometres. The channel ferry ports are all within 7-9 hours.
Nearest railway station: Cahors at 15 kilometres
