Pech Long is a beautiful and tranquil family home of two buildings, converted in 2005. Set on a hilltop 6km outside the thriving medieval market town of Figeac and only 45 minutes from Rodez Airport, it is surrounded by fields and woods with stunning views as far as 100 miles towards the Massif Central. The main barn sleeps up to 5 adults and a baby in 2 bedrooms and has a bathroom, newly fitted kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, satellite TV, DVD player, leather sofas and a large wood burning stove. The sechoir has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, sleeping 4 adults and a baby (the upstairs room is not full head height). All bedding, towels and cleaning are included in the price. The large landscaped garden has a patio area for outdoor dining and is child friendly with swings and new for 2008 is the private swimming pool and 8 seater Hot Tub. Pech Long offers peace, solitude and a wealth of local interest. For families, it is a great place for children of all ages.

Accommodation details

In the main barn the living, dining and kitchen area is open plan and upstairs. The kitchen has a hob, oven, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. The dining table seats ten and the spacious lounge area has three sofas, a leather armchair and a wood burning stove. The satellite television is tuned to BBC channels and there is a DVD player and a CD player. A selection of books, board games, CDs and DVDs are available for your use. Downstairs are two bedrooms, a bathroom and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has bunk beds and a single bed. The sechoir, with two main rooms, has a king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower, sink and loo. Upstairs on the upper level are two single beds (please note the this upper level does not have full headroom for adults but is perfect for children). New for 2008 is a private swimming pool (Apr-Oct) together with a top of the range 8 seater Hot Tub open all year..

£200 security deposit, discount offered for 3 weeks stays. Available all year, fully heated.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner. If the Barn only is required without the Sechoir (sleeping 5 plus a baby) then deduct £100 or £45 in High Season from the listed price for the week. Please note the Sechoir does not have a kitchen and so is not rented without the Barn. Linen and towels included in the price. Telephone connection available on request. Logs for the woodburning stove included in the price. Occasionally it is possible to agree changeover days other than Saturday, particularly outside high season. Changeover days are Saturday, check-in no earlier than 4pm, check-out no later than 10am.

Travel

Airports: Toulouse, Rodez, Limoges and Bergerac are all within 90 minutes.
Brive, which is due to open in 2010 is only 30 minutes away.
Nearest motorway: A20 junct 56 at 10 kilometres. The channel ferry ports are all within 7-9 hours.
